knows of course that a toad-stone (which is to be found inside a toad’s head)
will stop the pain from stings from wasps, bees, rats and so on (we at Cybergrot
were unaware that rats sting – we learn something new every day). And of course you will recall that these ‘toad
stones’ were frequently mentioned in early literature including Shakespeare’s ‘As
You Like it’
the uses of adversity,
the toad, ugly and venomous,
Wears yet a
precious jewel in its head….’
The only precious
jewel in this toad’s head will have to be put there by you – in the form of
coin of the realm, for it is a ceramic money box created by the Chelsea Pottery
we think some (but not many) years ago…..
And As We
Like it we guess you will like it too……..
It is the
size of a large toad
And has a
small chip on its backside as you might expect on a site like ours….
A toady is
a cringing parasite – nay an obsequious lickspittle….So don’t be
one – haggle-ye-not and pay the full price….
