Actually the real title is Management of the Organs of Digestion in Health and in Disease. Second edition printed in 1840
A fascinating volume if a tad dangerous. It should be kept well away from the more suggestible members of the medical profession lest they heed the advice given. For example the prescription of mercury to cure constipation is not, these days, considered to be a terribly good idea. Indeed, it will indeed cure the the malady by the simple expedient of killing the patient. Constipation (as well as all other ailments) definitively cured.
