The College of Arms has stated that "no authoritative translation is possible." How peculiar is that? Let’s choose a motto that can’t be translated shall we? Generally speaking this Latin phrase means (sort of): "Through adversity to the stars".
So ….. take the Latin motto, take the symbol of an eagle, plonk the Royal crown atop, cast it in brass and……… stick it on your horse.
