It is our belief that the designs on horse brasses were often symbolic – This could just be a picture of a wheat sheaf – however in heraldry the wheat sheaf symbolises that ‘the harvest of one’s hopes has been secured’.

This is a nice, used horse brass - just under 3½ inches
