King Penguin - Fishes of Britain's Rivers and Lakes

If you want to know what a fish is, then this fin-credible little book will have you hooked.  It starts: “What is a fish?”

Doubtless the ensuing text will mullet over however we can’t be fished to read it. (Have you fin-ish, we have haddock enough! Editor)

Text by J.R. Norman.  Lavish colour illustrations filched from Edward Donovan who was netted by the divine angler in 1837. Editor N. Pevsner. Technical editor R.B. Fishenden – we kid you not.

This is a first edition 1943 and is in reasonable nick considering.

32 pages of text. 16 pages of illustrations

Measures 12cm by 18.5cm
