There are three types of mule:
1) has 4 legs and carries heavy loads unwillingly, and for nothing.
2) has 2 legs and carries other peoples loads - for loads.
3) is a heel-less shoe.
Ours is a pair of the third. The name for this type of footwear is explained elsewhere on this site and we are far too indolent to write it out twice.
