VERY VERY OLD BICYCLE
This lovely item - we have been told - is a 1931 Raleigh loop-frame lady’s bicycle, single speed with 28 inch wheels.
It is in a scandalous condition having been languishing in a shed for years. This is a truly unhappy bike - will no-one take pity on it?
The brakes don’t work, the rear mud-guard is snapped in two places. All along this broken mud-guard are small holes indicating that a protector was once in place to stop the rider’s skirts from getting tangled in the spokes. The spokes are still there – no sign of the skirt …….or the protector….tyres are flat, it is rusty, scratched, weather beaten, fly-blown, and covered with bird droppings and cobwebs.
Ride it at your own risk!
And no, we are not going to post it – can’t fit it into an envelope so the buyer must make their own arrangements to pick it up from Somerset or have someone collect it or something at their own expense.
We are selling this antique gem as found – and the stunt chicken is not included.
And if you would like to make us a wheely good offer - you never know, it could be yours for less than you think.
