We think this comes from China! (See the base marks. Can anyone out there read this? Okay, okay - silly question - to which the answer is approximately 1,306,313,812 people - but unfortunately I am not one of them.)
It is not very well made - but we think it is extremely pretty. Translucent porcelain, pretty colours, gold edges. The porcelain is blemished and the painting is a bit slap-happy. We suppose it was part of a doll’s tea-set and in our experience dolls don’t complain – well not much anyway.
