The frontispiece is rent in twain, the front cover (a light brown calfskin –we believe-) is detached. The spine is missing.  The book remains bound and no pages are loose and apart from the above damage is in remarkably good condition considering that it is 190 years old

The full page black and white engraved illustrations are fascinating – as mentioned above they are  after the Old masters.  The publisher does not admit to how many there are and we have counted 22 but there may be one or two more lurking in there somewhere.

We are showing you here: Daniel in the Lions Den, Satan Chained and a very strange plan that comes from no Old Master that we know of, showing The Camp of the Israelites.

It measures 10.5 inches by 17inches and weighs approximately 8lbs
